This week in acting class, we had to perform a song and 3 monologues. For the song, I thought I would do “Sixteen Going On Seventeen” from The Sound of Music. I figured I looked the part (minus the belly) and it wasn’t that ambitious.
They kept asking if I did choir or musicals and I really don’t recall that much of a musical background. I am as shocked as they were, I didn’t expect to do that well. They said I had perfect/relative pitch (and not even knowing it is a gift), that I should consider doing musical theater and that I can do any female role from any Rogers & Hammerstein production.
I’m………. at a loss for words. Still don’t know how to respond to that.
Now i hate it. I hate how I found a new interest and I STILL don’t know what I want to do with my life…
